    Quality Manager (Regional)

    Sentri Group is currently working with a leading tier 1 main contractor delivering new build and refurbishment schemes to £50m across the public and private sectors, they are seeking a Quality Manager to cover the Southern Region.

    The company ethos is to take the business forward by delivering buildings that meet and exceed clients’ expectations, building the business on long-term relationships, with repeat business Clients.

    This is achieved by working hard to understand completely the clients’ requirements and ambitions, and then using experience and expertise to deliver solutions that match the Clients’ needs.

    All their projects require an understanding of how people will use the facilities, to allow buildings to be created offering the best possible working environment.

    Outline responsibilities of the role include:

    • Advise on all current occupational H&S and environmental legislation
    • Ensure that processes needed for the Quality Management System (QMS) are established, implemented, and maintained.
    • Report to top management on the performance of the QMS and any need for improvement.
    • Ensure the promotion of awareness of customer requirements throughout the organisation.
    • Liaise with the external assessment body on all matters related to the external accreditation process.
    • Conduct site inspections, audits to ensure compliance with company Health & Safety / Environment / Quality System
    • Maintain/promote liaison with officials and professional bodies (e.g., HSE, ROSPA, IOSH, BSI, EA etc.)
    • Maintain up-to-date knowledge of relevant legislation and codes of practice
    • To report to senior management on compliance / non-compliance with safety, environmental and quality systems, and suggest/promote ways of improving performance
    • Review Project Management Plans and associated documents

    You will be proven within a Quality Manager role and have a track record of stable employment history gained from working for recognised main contractors.

    On offer for this Quality Manager Position is a basic salary of £55,000 - £75,000 per annum plus a comprehensive benefits package.

    Planner / Senior Planner

    Sentri Group is currently working with a leading tier 1 main contractor delivering new build and refurbishment schemes to £100m across the public and private sectors, they are seeking a Planner and Senior Planner in the Thames Valley and London offices.

    As an experienced Planner / Senior Planner, you will be educated to a professional level with a relevant degree or equivalent in a core business discipline and you will have extensive experience in programme and project planning, including programme controls, logistics reviews, and cost and risk analysis.

    You will have the ability to plan construction works from first principles, preferably with experience in multi-discipline projects and you will have extensive pre-construction and site experience on schemes ranging from £10m to more than £100m.

    You will monitor progress throughout the construction process, compare this with the projected schedule of work, report findings and recommend solutions to recover delays. You will liaise directly with site teams and provide expert advice and guidance on planning solutions as required.

    You should have experience as a Planner within the construction market, ideally for a Tier 1 UK Contractor. You will need to be highly experienced with Asta and have a proven track record in a similar main contractor. You will have highly developed interpersonal and communications skills with the ability to quickly assimilate information.

    Role and Responsibilities

    • Project Planning using Asta and MS Project Software.
    • Project Progress Measuring, Monitoring and Reporting.
    • Establishing and implementing robust project controls and accurate reporting and forecasting.
    • Sub-contractor Progress Monitoring.
    • Liaise with the client, subcontractors and consultancy designers on all matters relating to planning.

    The successful candidate can expect a salary of between £65,000 - £100,000 per annum plus car allowance, pension, healthcare, flexible working, and bonus scheme they will also consider flexible working hours and arrangements.

    The company’s current workload comes from several sectors, but they are very strong within the Education, Commercial, Residential, Health and Leisure sectors and have a proven track record of delivering projects ranging from £10m to £100m.

    The workload is secured via framework agreements, negotiated repeat work and competitive tendering and you will be working as part of a work winning team where you will lead the design management aspect to ensure the project is value-engineered to maximise ‘the best price’.

    Reporting to the Design Director and experienced in the Design Management function you will ideally come from a main contracting background, possess a high level of contractual, technical and programme awareness and be professionally qualified, ideally with a degree.

    This Design Manager role offers a basic salary of £65,000 - £75,000 per annum plus, travel allowance, pension, and healthcare and bonus.

    Estimator

    Sentri Group is currently working alongside a privately owned main contractor who is looking to appoint an Estimator to their already established Preconstruction and Estimating department in Berkshire.

    This is a fantastic opportunity for a construction professional to join a Regional Office that has had strong growth over the years.

    As a member of the Management Team, the position will be working closely with the current Estimators and Commercial Directors. You will be responsible for delivering projects from initial single and two-stage tendering and framework agreements across Health, Education, Commercial and Leisure sectors, with projects ranging from £10m – £100m in value.

    As a business, they pride themselves on their internal and external training programmes, office and company incentives and monthly team building activities and nights out.

    Due to increased workload, they are seeking an Estimator to join the team and carry out all Estimating duties including:

    • Taking tenders from initial inquiry to submission
    • Provision of timely and accurate estimates
    • Analyse contract documentation and prepare accurate subcontractor packages for pricing.
    • Maintaining an updated cost base
    • Liaise and negotiate with sub-contractors and suppliers.
    • Active participation in adjudication meetings
    • The requirement to carry out some surveying duties when necessary.
    • Maintain good relationships with prospective clients and professionals to promote further tender invitations.
