Sentri Group are currently working with a regional Main Contractor operating across London who are looking to appoint Quantity Surveyor based in London.
As the Quantity Surveyor, you will work very closely with and Commercial lead on schemes throughout London ranging from £5m - £20m, across Commercial, Leisure, Residential and Mixed-Use sectors.
Requirements
- Procurement of Sub-Contract; Consultant and Supply only packages.
- Analysis of work package tender returns.
- Preparation of Orders with Sub-Contractors, Consultants and Suppliers.
- Contribute to the preparation if interim and final account applications for the Company and likewise internal cost and value reconciliation reports.
- Subject to the approval of the Commercial Manager value and agree Changes/Variations.
- Integrate the commercial strategy, amending it to suit the project as it develops.
- Liaise with & commercially influence/challenge the other members of the team and the construction process.
Take ownership for, administer & represent the company in commercial & contractual issues, including but not limited to:
- Preparing tenders, analysing, selecting appropriate & finalising orders.
- Financial & commercial management to Final Account completion.
- Prepare & present forecasts, targets & CV reconciliations.
- Prepare & agree Valuations, including generating certificates & invoice / payments.
- Prepare Variations with adequate/appropriate records, agree as works progress.
- Update projected Final Accounts on regular basis and prepare, submit & agree Final Account in a timely manner.
- Involvement in value engineering & design development

Project Director
A Project Director with a proven track record of delivering London based schemes more than £50m, is required by a leading regional main contractor, to be based on their office in Central London.
You will be required to look after one mixed-use scheme, with a combined value of c.£100m made up of Residential, Education and Retail projects.
As a member of the Senior Management Team, the position will be working closely with the Regional Director; and you will be responsible for delivering projects from initial tender enquiry through to final account across Education, Residential, Commercial and Leisure sectors.
Projects will consist of refurbishments schemes through to new build projects.
Minimum Requirements
- 15 years experience managing multiple residential schemes (preferably, RC and Steel Frame, high rise).
- Proven experience in the management of a minimum of two number individual schemes running simultaneously.
- Client Facing experience.
- A clear understanding of the key risks on each individual project at any one time.
- A Commercial view on construction, including a sound understanding of contract formulation, both Subcontract and Client Contracts, respectively.
- A clear understanding of people management and subcontract management
- You will be contractually aware and possess good technical knowledge. Health & Safety will be one of your key priorities and you will demonstrate the ability to offer strong guidance to Site and Project Managers as and when required.
The client is seeking to appoint an individual who is proven within a Project Director / Leader role and has a track record of delivering larger projects, coupled with a stable employment history gained working for recognised main contractors.

On offer for the successful Project Director is a salary of £100,000 - £150,000 p.a. plus car allowance, health care, pension, and bonus scheme.

Commercial Director
Sentri Group is supporting an established and fast-growing Main Contractor who operates across the Residential, Commercial, Leisure and Student Accommodation sectors to find a Commercial Director.
This is an excellent opportunity for a Commercial Manager who has an in-depth understanding of working for a main contractor to join an established and growing main contractor operating across London.
As the Commercial lead, you will work closely with the Regional and Estimating Director, effectively being their ‘right hand person’ whilst helping to manage the team.

You will be comfortable to work as a stand-alone Surveyor, who has demonstrated a stable career and looking to drive exceptional levels of profit.
Your role will be providing commercial expertise for both the client and the Main Contractor reporting on contract commercial performance to the Director. Familiarisation with JCT and NEC forms of contracts, strong cost management skills and building rapport with client and sub-contractors will all be looked for skills.
The successful Commercial Manager / Director can expect a salary of between £90,000 - £110,000 per annum plus car allowance, pension, healthcare, flexible working, and bonus scheme they will also consider flexible working hours and arrangements.
